Sharada Prasad is a Partner with The Taplow Group India. She covers the Non-Profit & Philanthropy sector practice for the firm. Sharada is a management professional with almost 30 years of experience across Private & Development Sectors and brings a unique blend of domain experience and management expertise which provides a strong platform to support clients on their talent needs & strategically execute searches, including cross-over searches. 

Her experience and expertise ranges from Strategy Formulation and Implementation, Program Management, People Management, to Marketing, Consumer Insights, Social & Rural Marketing, Marketing Communications, Research and Business Analytics.

Sharada has worked with leading Indian and Multinational organizations in the private sector, including Titan Industries, AT&T, Reliance Infocomm, and Philips and held key P&L responsibilities and led diverse multilocational teams. In the development sector she worked the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation projects with Public Health Foundation of India & John Snow India. She has worked closely with international philanthropies and donors, bilaterals and multilateral organisations, implementing partners and stakeholders and senior leadership at Government of India and state governments during this time.

Sharada’s shift to the development sector has enabled her to utilise her management expertise in the public health domain to provide strategic consulting and advisory services at the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) under the BMGF funded HIV/AIDS Project. She also provided strategic support to the Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in revamping its Social Marketing Program to scale up accessibility, affordability and availability of health commodities and promote health seeking behaviours, especially amongst the unserved and the underserved population. Additionally, Sharada had also advocated several initiatives including the development and execution of an Integrated Communication Strategy with a 360-degree approach across media including new and digital media to maximize, emphasize and sustain behavioural change.

Sharada is an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA ’93) and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from St. Xavier’s College.
